Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Holodex handles information when you visit holode.xyz, demo.holode.xyz, or an application on *.demo.holode.xyz. A self-hosted copy of an application has a different operator and should publish its own policy.

Use test data. Holodex is a temporary demonstration environment. Do not submit sensitive, confidential, regulated, or real payment-card information.

1. Information handled by the landing page

The public landing and legal pages do not provide accounts, advertising trackers, or payment forms. The web server may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, TLS and routing information, and error or security events.

2. Information handled by demos

A demo may process information you choose to submit, such as a test email address, account profile, content, order details, or preferences. The specific demo should describe its behavior in its own Privacy Policy. Holodex supplies isolated runtime, database, routing, and optional email-relay infrastructure to operate that demo.

3. Payments

Holodex's local test-checkout simulator does not contact Stripe, collect a real card number, move money, or store card data. A self-hoster who configures Stripe becomes responsible for its own checkout, notices, provider relationship, and legal obligations.

4. Email

When a demo sends confirmation or password-reset email, Holodex may relay the recipient address, message content, and delivery metadata to the configured email provider. Demo containers do not receive the provider's credentials. Use an address you control and avoid sensitive content.

5. How information is used

Information is processed to route requests, operate requested demos, authenticate test users, deliver requested email, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, enforce resource limits, and protect Holodex and the other services sharing its host.

6. Service providers and disclosures

Information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, DNS, GitHub, and email providers as necessary to operate the service. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse, or protect rights and safety. Holodex does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Retention

Demo application containers and databases are designed to be deleted on the schedule displayed by Holodex, normally during the daily wipe. A demo may be removed sooner. Limited infrastructure, access, error, security, and delivery logs may remain for the time reasonably needed to operate and protect the service. Public GitHub repositories are not deleted by the Holodex wipe and are governed separately.

8. Security

Holodex uses encrypted transport, isolated containers and databases, resource limits, restricted runtime networking, generated application secrets, signed build provenance, and credential isolation. No system is perfectly secure, which is why only non-sensitive test data belongs here.

9. Your choices and rights

You can avoid submitting information, use fictional test data, or stop using a demo. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing, and to complain to a regulator. Identity verification may be required before acting on a request.

10. Children

Holodex is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used to submit a child's personal information. Contact the maintainers if you believe this occurred.

11. International processing

Infrastructure and providers may process information in countries other than yours. Production operators are responsible for evaluating and documenting transfer safeguards applicable to their deployment.

12. Changes

This Policy may change as Holodex or its providers change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted here or in the repository when reasonably practical.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or rights requests, contact the maintainers through the Holodex repository and request a private channel. Never post sensitive personal information in a public issue.
